A Little Bit of Everything Environmental

I spent over thirty years working for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, including working on and for the National Wildlife Refuge System, administering the Endangered Species Program for the Western States, researching and preparing recovery plans for the California Condor and other endangered species, and coordinating the Wilderness Act studies on Western refuges. A lot of this work was exciting, rewarding, and fun. Some of it wasn't any of those things: some of it was frustrating, maddening, disheartening, and discouraging.

As you might imagine, I learned a lot during those years about natural resources, wildlife and the land. As you might also imagine, I developed some definite philosophies and opinions about what I did and what I saw. I also saw some neat stuff. From time to time, I'll use these pages to share some of those thoughts and images. Maybe you'll want to communicate with me about what you read here.
